Terms & Conditions
1. Overview & Satisfaction Guarantee
Ampere proudly stands behind the engineering, quality, and performance of our vehicles and mobility products. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring you enjoy your ownership experience.
2. Product Scope & Classification
These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase, reservation, and delivery of all Ampere vehicles, electric sports autocycles/cars, light electric mobility products, batteries, and component parts (collectively, "Vehicles" or "Products").
3. Vehicle Allocations, Orders & Pre-Orders
-
Allocation Requests: Custom vehicle builds, specialty electric sports models (including the Ampere Roadster/XUV series), and production allocations are processed via formal purchase agreements or allocation reservation inquiries. Production timelines and custom delivery schedules are provided upon order confirmation.
-
Order Processing & Cancellation: A cancellation fee of 15% applies to all processed commercial orders prior to shipment or initiation of custom assembly.
4. Returns and Refunds Policy
-
Return Eligibility: Customers have the right to request a return for standard light electric mobility vehicles within seven (7) days of delivery if not completely satisfied. Custom-built, allocated, or special-order vehicles are subject to the specific terms set forth in their individual purchase agreements.
-
Return Conditions: Returned units must be in brand-new condition, unused, and secured within original factory packaging.
-
Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for all freight and return shipping costs. The use of a trackable, insured freight carrier is strictly required.
-
Refund Processing: Following receipt and formal inspection, eligible refunds will be issued within 14 business days, less applicable cancellation fees and original freight charges.
5. Freight, Shipping & Delivery
-
Accessory Shipments: Ancillary components, accessories, or battery modules may be dispatched separately to expedite overall fulfillment.
-
Color & Spec Matching: While production strives to accommodate custom color and specification preferences, availability remains tied to manufacturing runs.
-
Consolidated Freight: To maintain competitive pricing and provide complimentary shipping promotions, Ampere utilizes consolidated logistics and regional freight networks.
-
Tracking & Delivery Coordination: Customers receive tracking data once the vehicle arrives at regional logistics facilities. Freight dispatchers will contact the recipient directly to coordinate scheduled delivery.
6. Safety & Operational Guidelines
-
Pre-Usage Inspection: Owners are required to perform pre-drive safety inspections covering braking systems, controls, lighting, and tire pressures prior to each operation.
-
Operating Environments: Vehicles must be operated in accordance with designated design parameters. Avoid operation on unsafe inclines, flooded roadways, or conditions exceeding vehicle specifications.
-
Modifications & Unauthorized Alterations: Any unauthorized aftermarket modification, firmware tampering, or structural/electrical alteration performed on the vehicle voids all manufacturer warranties.
7. Regulatory Compliance & Local Licensing
-
Jurisdictional Compliance: It is the purchaser's sole responsibility to comply with all federal, state, and local vehicle registration, licensing, autocycle classification, and helmet/roadway requirements in their operating jurisdiction.
-
Insurance Notice: Buyers are advised to review coverage with their automotive or personal property insurance carriers, as standard policies may vary regarding specialty electric vehicles.
8. Limited Warranty Coverage
-
Core Components: Ampere provides a one-year (12-month) limited warranty on primary propulsion batteries, and a one-year (12-month) limited warranty on electric drive motors and motor controllers. Non-wearable structural components carry a six-month limited warranty.
-
Normal Wear & Degradation Exclusions: Wear items—including but not limited to tires, brake pads, rotors, and cosmetic finishes—are excluded from warranty coverage. Lithium-ion battery capacity degrades naturally over time and through charge cycles; capacity reduction is not deemed a defect unless the battery becomes entirely inoperable within the warranty period.
-
Service & Labor: Warranty coverage applies to component repair or replacement. Customer-arranged labor is the owner's responsibility. Ampere coordinates technical assistance and mobile mechanic guidance where available.
-
Technical Support: All Ampere vehicle owners receive complimentary remote technical support by phone or video.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Ampere, its officers, directors, or manufacturing affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from product ownership, vehicle operation, personal injury, or property damage to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
10. General Provisions
Continuous engineering enhancements may result in minor design, panel, rim, or technical refinements between manufacturing batches. By completing an order, deposit, or allocation request, the purchaser confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Thank you for choosing Ampere. Drive and ride safely while contributing to a sustainable future.
